Investment Criteria
What we look for
TZ Capital is a Palm Beach–based real estate investment firm with both a debt and an equity platform. On the debt side we originate real estate loans to established groups with good visibility on their business plans and differentiated sites across the US — with a focus on Florida, New York, and California. On the equity side we acquire or develop specialty commercial and residential assets in New York and Florida. We are more geographically flexible on the debt platform, and we seek an alignment of interest in all partnerships.

TZ Capital is driven by the principles of integrity, partnership alignment, and a long-term approach to real estate acquisition, lending, and development. The firm is led by three managing partners with deep credit and equity backgrounds.
Tyler Tananbaum
Leads deal sourcing, underwriting, execution, and asset management. Previously a Senior Associate at Wexford Real Estate Investors and at GTIS Partners. University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), and former President of the Wharton Undergraduate Real Estate Club.
Sam Zuckert
Focuses on credit and equity sourcing and execution. Previously on the high-yield credit team at Related Fund Management — helping manage roughly $2B of capital and $5B of total financings — and at William Street Capital and Icon Realty. USC Marshall School of Business.
Teddy Tananbaum
Responsible for deal sourcing and equity and credit execution. Former Analyst and Trader at Diameter Capital Partners and a restructuring advisor at Centerview Partners. University of Pennsylvania, Magna Cum Laude.
